And our favorite is:  one with your dog’s name and your phone number right on it! Keep your contact info current and don’t forget to include rabies, license and other tags.   

And our favorite is:  the simple chain, unless your dog has trachea problems.  Research shows if fitted properly this is the best collar for your dog when leashed up, as virtually impossible to lose your dog (cannot back up out of collar.)   And stops your dog from pulling.  Is not inhumane, no prongs, dogs love it! Always have a second collar with tags.  Size properly! 

And our favorite is . . . Maypaw for any size dog, braided and strong.  

And our favorite is . . . :  Fida Reflective 6 ft - remember these are leashes to make it easy for transporting dogs, but not necessarily should be used as daily leashes.  Remember to ensure the flap is outside and tight and that all fittings are secure.  

And our favorite is:  NIMBLE Long Leash, approx $20 -  suggested is at least 30 ft, and you might want to also get a 50 or 100 ft for testing recall training. 

And our favorite is . . .well, we don’t love harnesses for walking your dog because dogs can easily escape from them, and it also teaches dogs to pull because it feels good . . Use with your discretion please and ensure a proper fit. Ruffware Front Range Harness, about $55: this dual-clip, head-in harness is sturdy yet light enough that it won’t weigh down your dog. It has several built-in safety details and fits most dogs with chests ranging from 13 to 42 inches.

It’s indestructible.   Get the large for most size dogs, they will play with it when left alone, and you can also freeze it! About $22.

We generally do not recommend ball toys for dogs, see our safety video on ball extraction.  Buy a large enough size ball that cannot be swallowed.  Doing more research now
